With the onset of Covid-19 the team at Maritime Apartments as well as everyone in the country, have been faced with a new reality. With constantly changing government guidelines and advice, we have worked to ensure the safety of all our tenants and team. The layout of the properties at Maritime, lends itself well to social distancing measures and we have reduced any interactions between staff and tenants to a bare minimum. To help our tenants understand the changes and feel confident in their safety please find below specific protocols which are now in place. These are constantly being reviewed and we welcome any constructive feedback if you feel that there is room to improve.
- The Layout – Maritime Apartments is made of completely self contained apartments with no shared / communal facilities. The flats are accessed via external stair cases with a maximum of 8 tenants sharing a staircase. This allows for social distancing with no shared lifts, hallways etc.
- The Office – Although the office remains open, we have reduced staff numbers to enable social distancing. Staff have hand sanitizer available and are reminded to wash hands before and after interacting with any tenants. There remains a glass divide between the office staff and any tenants. Unless absolutely necessary please do not come to the office. We ask that you call us on 01229319000 or email info@maritimeapartments.co.uk and we will respond as quickly as possible. If you must come into the office please ensure to keep to social distancing guidelines while in the office, this means that if someone is already at the glass, please wait outside. Please ensure to use the hand sanitizer provided.
- Maintance – At Maritime we pride ourselves on a high level of service for all our tenants. This includes dealing with any maintanace issues in a timely manner. Unfortunately due to Covid-19 we cannot ensure the safety of staff members going into tenanted apartments. This means that unless their is an emergency maintainance issues (Leaks, Broken boilers etc) we will not be able to deal with minor maintance issues. When it is deemed necessary to send in a member of staff, they are provided with PPE, will ask the tenant to leave the property while the work is carried out, and be careful to wipe down any surfaces they have been in contact with.
- Housekeeping – To minimise the risk to both tenants and staff, weekly cleaning of tenanted apartments has been paused. During your stay, clean linen will be delivered to your apartment door and dirty linen will be collected in the bags provided. On check out, apartments will be left vacant for 72 hours before being deep cleaned by staff wearing PPE and thoroughly aired.
