Hundreds of fun runners flocked to Barrow Park on Sunday to take part in the Colour Run 2019.
The sun shone all weekend for the carnival celebrations and Sunday was no exception. At 1pm the mass warm up began led by an instructor from main stage, from Music Man to Superman the whole park joined in from a distance, including me!
The gun fires and they’re off! The Maritime Team sponsored the orange pain station and our job was to throw powder paint on to the runners as they pass.. 5k later and we’re ALL orange but also Pink, green, purple, blue..!
My family and I manned the orange station while David and John from our maintenance team took on the pink and green With David’s daughter Clarissa. Oh how the kids loved it!
Organisers HuddleHub were exceptionally organised and that allowed everyone to just join in and have fun! If you have never took part in something like this, you should! In fact it’s a family must! All ages from toddlers to grandmas ran or walked the 5k Laps of the beautiful Barrow Park and thoroughly enjoyed every moment! Here’s some photos from the day!
